This is what happened to the last pot of lettuce

Heat + Exposure = Going to Seed Rapidement

Time for lettuce round two - once more with feeling and much more variety.

  1. It already looks good enough to eat. I hope your efforts net bountiful yields.

  3. Looks great, Prue. Wish you luck with your lettuces. Would be eager to see the different varieties growing in your balcony. Ah! How I love your updates on a particular plants and its varieties. I think you weren't serious when you named your blog ;)

  4. Your lettuce looks delectable. You should look for australian yellow leaf lettuce. I am trying it this year, it grows a huge loose leaf head and is bolt resistant.

  5. We have an australian lettuce? And it is yellow? oooh the things you learn. :)

Ate some of it last night, some is bitter already but the curly leaf is yummmmmmmmmmmmyyyy.

Although it is turning cold, I've always wondered why Salad veggies grow in winter - but Salads are consumed less in winter. If only lettuce grew better in summer - but digress.
